Growing a lasting impact that empowers and inspires – Heartfelt

Our purpose is to grow and support partnerships between private entities, NPOs, co-operatives, public entities and individuals to establish sustainable impacts in South Africa and beyond.

Heartfelt

Heartfelt’s goal is to create as many jobs as possible for women in South, developing a unique range that is instantly recognized under the Heartfelt brand. All Heartfelt products will be made to the highest standard – continuously remaining at the forefront of South African design. Selling internationally and locally, each customer helps to make a difference to the lives of the Heartfelt ladies and their community in Makapanstad, North West Province.

2016

HNC assisted with the registration of Heartfelt NPC 10 years of successful Heartfelt operations to expand on support provided to community in which Heartfelt operates. IDC approached Heartfelt to submit proposal to build dedicated workshop.

2019

HNC prepared, secured, and implemented this grant. New workshop, funded by IDC, officially opened. Heartfelt was founded in 2006.

2020

Heartfelt successfully navigated Covid challenges with our support. Resources were donated by SmartHR to establish a micro bakery in the previous Heartfelt workshop.

2021

IDC asked HNC to prepare a second proposal for Heartfelt in partnership with Crossroads Bread Project to expand existing micro bakery established in old workshop.

2022

Proposal approved. Building of bakery commenced on 22 October 2022. In October 2022, Heartfelt completed its biggest order every for Nando’s UK.

Underpinning all of this was auditing support from BDO South Africa and legal support from MacRobert Attorneys. Without this strong legal and financial foundation, the opportunities for expansion would not have been possible.
